Prof. Soliman H. Abdel Rahman

Head of scientific Committee , NIOF - EGYPT


He was the former President of the National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF), and at present is a professor of Marine biology and Mariculture in NIOF, Alexandria. He received his PhD from Tokyo University, Japan. He participated in the promotion committees of NIOF, and led many technical projects in EIA, and took over P.I. of many scientific projects funded by international and national organizations.

Prof. Fatma Ali Abdelrazek

She is a professor of Marine Invertebrate in the National Institute of Oceanography (NIOF) in Alexandria. She received her PH.D from TokyoUniversity, Japan. She was the head of Invertebrate Aquaculture Lab. and participated in the promotion committees between the years 2001 – 2012. She is the editor-in-chief of the Egyptian Journal of Aquatic Research managed by Elsevier Publisher. She has supervised 29 Master and PhD theses. She published around 110 scientific articles.

Prof. James Njiru

Director General/CEO Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute - Kenya

He holds PhD in Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries Biology. He has all over 30 years’ experience as a manager and a leader in sustainable environment issues mostly in aquatic ecosystem. He has carried out research in several disciplines in fisheries/environment leading to over 90 peer reviewed publications.

Prof. Adoté Blim Blivi

UNESCO/Convention of 2001/STAB Vice-Chair

Former UNESCO/IOC Vice-Chair Group V. Former Head of Research Center on Coast and Sea Management and ocean Data and Information Center, University of Lome in Togo. He was consultant for UNEP, UNDP-FAO, WORLD BANK-ECOWAS, IUCN, ONUDI on marine and coast issues. He was expert of Advisory Body of Experts of Law of the Sea for IOC/UNESCO.

Prof. Amany Mohamed El-Sikaily

Dean of Marine Environment Division , NIOF - EGYPT


She is professor of marine pollution and participated in many research projects related to marine environment and marine biotechnology, and many projects of capacity building funded from STDF,She was the head of Ioc committee of Egypt from 2013_2019,Representative of Egypt in the UNEP program for biological biomarker in Mediterranean Sea.

Prof. Saleh Ahmed Rabeh

Dean of Fresh water and Lakes Division, NIOF - Egypt

He is a Professor of Microbiology . He published many scientific articles in international journals and some chapters in international books. He has achieved research experiences through some projects in field of Microbial Ecology and Biotechnology.

Prof. Hanan Mitwally

Head of the Oceanography Department ,Alexandria University- EGYPT

She is a Professor of marine biology, faculty of science, Alexandria University, Egypt. She spent two years at the marine science Institute, Texas University, USA, a Ph.D. scholarship funded by the Egyptian government (1997-1999).

Prof. Elham Mahmoud Ali

Head of Department of Aquatic Environmental sciences , University of Suez - EGYPT

She is a Professor of Environment and Oceanography. She works as the Director for Suez University International Relations Office (UONIR). Prof. She works as environmental consultant for different national (CEDARE, EEAA, Shore protection Institute).

Prof. Ashraf Goda

Chairman of the Standing Scientific Committee for Research Promotions ,NIOF - EGYPT

He was a former Chairman of Aquaculture Division, NIOF and has gained significant experience in linking socio-economic research in Egyptian aquaculture sector. He has a strong expertise and experiences related to an extraordinary range of research topics.

Prof. Hosam Easa Elsaied

Chairman of Genetics and Genetic Engineering department , NIOF -EGYPT

He has got his Ph.D , postdoctoral and senior researcher from Japan . He has experience in developing Genetics approaches to monitor , evaluate and benefit from the aquatic biota in both of industrial applications and environmental sustainability.

Prof. Ola Abdelwahab

She is a member of the Permanent Scientific Committee for Promotion of Scientific Staff, and an academic editor for Peer Review journals. She is indicated in the list of 100000 top scientists around the world in 2019, according to the Stanford University survey.

Prof. Azza El Ganainy

Professor of Fisheries biology and management, NIOF-EGYPT

She is a former Head of Fisheries Division, and has experience over 35 years in the fisheries sector working on fisheries research and stock assessment on the Mediterranean, Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. She has wide training experience as university professor and tutor in several internationally funded training workshops.
